Driving Theory Test
Before starting an intensive driving course you will need to have already passed your driving theory test as you will need this before you can take your practical test.
It is important that you do not underestimate this test and revise for it in advance, many people fail this thinking it is going to be easy.
In order to book your driving theory test you will need your provisional driving licence and a debit or credit card.
Booking your test
Your instructor will be able to help you with any questions you may have about booking your test. If you want to use the instructor’s car for your test then please speak to them in advance so that you can check their availability. When booking you will need the instructor’s ADI reference number, which they will be able to give you. Before booking your practical test you will need your provisional dirving licence, theory pass certificate and a credit or debit card.

FAQs About Driving Theory Tests
What will I need to do?
Both parts of the theory test are completed together at your test centre. If you fail one part, you fail the whole test.
For the multiple-choice test, there will be 50 questions, and you will have 57 minutes to complete them. The pass mark for the multiple-choice section is 43 out of 50.
This will be followed by the hazard perception test, where you have to identify developing hazards from video clips shown to you.
